Among the small tomato lines that Hortiberia exports, cherry plum stands out for its elongated fruit, which sets it apart from the round cherry on the shelf and makes it a complementary second reference within the same category. For retailers it makes sense to carry both: they share calendar, transport temperature and punnet logic, yet they appeal to different shoppers and rarely cannibalise each other on the shelf. The group's growers produce it in south-eastern Spain as conventional and certified organic.

October, November, December, January, February, March, April and May. Eight months of season that pick up where the European summer ends and continue until local spring production comes in across the main destination markets.
Sizes available are 20 and 32. The standard pack is the 250 g punnet, grouped in a cardboard box:
Compared with the nine-punnet box used for round cherry, this twelve-punnet configuration gives more kilos per package and a different pallet build, which matters when mixed pallets of small tomatoes are assembled for one customer.
Recommended transport temperature is 7-8 °C, the same as for the rest of the tomato range. The group's growers work under GLOBALG.A.P. and IFS or the equivalent standards required by retail chains, with traceability records by lot and plot and compliance with EU rules on residues, plant protection products and labelling. Organic production carries EU certification.
Where a customer already takes round cherry from Hortiberia, cherry plum can be added to the same weekly programme without changing transport arrangements or receiving procedures at the platform.
The Hortiberia Group brings together the drive and experience of four market leaders from the sector in order to consolidate a project with a great future.
