Blueberries are part of the fruit range with which Hortiberia rounds out its vegetable catalogue for European retail and wholesale buyers. The fruit comes from the group's producers and is marketed from our base in Cartagena with the same approach we apply across the range: fruit packed to travel, a format the shelf already recognises, and a supply programme a buyer can hold week after week.
Leave us your details and we will send you availability, formats and prices for this product.
Hortiberia supplies blueberries from June to October. Those five months give the buyer a stable programming period through the summer and early autumn, covering the stretch in which other European origins taper off. Outside that window we do not list this reference, and we would rather say so up front than commit to deliveries we cannot sustain.
We work with 10 mm and 18 mm sizes, with a reference weight of 120-160 g per sales unit. The standard pack is a cardboard box holding 12 lidded 125 g baskets (punnet or Schale, depending on the destination market), a format that multiple retailers recognise and that allows direct replenishment on the shop floor. Palletisation is 240 boxes per Euro pallet, which makes it straightforward to build full or combined orders alongside other fruit in the catalogue.
Recommended transport temperature is 2-3 °C, with an unbroken cold chain from dispatch to the customer's platform. The group's producers operate under standards such as GLOBALG.A.P. and IFS, with traceability by lot and plot so that every pallet can be traced back to its origin. The fruit complies with EU rules on maximum residue levels, labelling and plant protection products, a baseline requirement in every market we serve.
Buyers planning a summer berry programme can discuss volumes, timing and format with our sales team ahead of the season.
The Hortiberia Group brings together the drive and experience of four market leaders from the sector in order to consolidate a project with a great future.
