Garlic
Garlic is one of the few lines in Hortiberia's catalogue supplied twelve months a year, which makes it a base product for annual agreements with importers, buying groups and wholesalers. Grupo Hortiberia, based in Cartagena since 2001, markets the production of its four member companies in more than 40 countries and offers in garlic the widest range of pack formats in its vegetable catalogue.

Year-round availability
Supply runs from January to December without interruption, with the option of fixing constant weekly volumes or adapting deliveries to each market's consumption peaks.
Sizes and packaging
Working sizes are 37/45, 45/55, 50/60 and 60+, in millimetres. On cardboard boxes, the formats and palletisation (boxes per Euro pallet / per 100×120 pallet) are as follows:
- Girsac 500 g and 1 kg: 36 / 45.
- Net 20 × 100 g: 320 / 400.
- Net 30 × 100 g: 224 / 274.
- Net 20 × 200 g: 112 / 140.
- Net 20 × 250 g: 112 / 140.

Transport and guarantees
The recommended transport temperature is 2-5 °C. The group's growers work under GLOBALG.A.P. and IFS and the equivalent standards required by retailers, with lot and farm traceability and compliance with EU rules on residues, plant protection products and labelling. Documentation for each consignment identifies origin, lot and packing date for checks at destination, and the wide choice of net and tray weights makes it possible to serve retail, wholesale and processing customers from the same weekly programme.
