Kohlrabi is a swollen-stem brassica with an established market in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Eastern Europe, where it is eaten fresh throughout the winter. Hortiberia includes it in its cold-season vegetable range with production from the group's growers in the Region of Murcia, so that importers can add it to the same programme as cauliflower, cabbage or broccoli and fill the truck.

Availability runs from November to May: November, December, January, February, March, April and May. Seven months of supply make it possible to sustain continuous programmes from a single origin.
Kohlrabi is graded into sizes 30 and 25, with a unit weight of 250 to 300 g. It is packed in cardboard boxes:
It is available as organic and conventional. The organic line carries EU certification and shares calendar and formats with the conventional crop, which simplifies listing management on the platform.
Kohlrabi travels at 1-4 °C. The group's growers bring product temperature down immediately after harvest and hold the cold chain to dispatch, so the bulb keeps its firmness and the leaves arrive green. Goods are identified by lot and plot, comply with EU maximum residue levels and labelling, and come from farms working under GLOBALG.A.P. and IFS or the equivalent standards required by the retail trade.
Buyers already sourcing brassicas from Hortiberia can add kohlrabi to their weekly schedule without changing supplier or logistics set-up, and the commercial team will adjust volumes each week in line with crop progress.
The Hortiberia Group brings together the drive and experience of four market leaders from the sector in order to consolidate a project with a great future.
