Flat Peaches

With a five-month season, flat peaches are the stone fruit line with the longest calendar in Hortiberia's range, extending the summer programme beyond peaches and nectarines. The fruit comes from the group's growers, four member companies with long export experience, and is marketed from Cartagena to more than 40 countries.

Full product sheet

From May to September

Flat peaches are available from May to September. That extra month compared with the rest of the stone fruit range lets the buyer keep the shelf space filled into early autumn with the same supplier and the same packaging.

Sizes and formats

The size scale is AA, A, B, C and D. The product sheet lists basket, loose and net as pack options, with the following palletisation:

  • Single tray, 7 kg: 88 boxes per Euro pallet.
  • Double tray, 10 kg: 52 boxes per Euro pallet, 65 per 100×120 pallet.

Baskets and nets answer self-service demand; trays are reserved for display fruit and for customers who prioritise individual presentation and lower pressure damage. Pack choice can be decided per order, so the same weekly programme may combine net for one retailer and tray for another without changing dispatch dates.

Cold chain, traceability and regulation

The recommended transport temperature is 1-2 °C, with an unbroken cold chain from packing to the destination platform. The group's growers work under GLOBALG.A.P. and IFS and the equivalent standards required by retailers, with lot and farm traceability and compliance with EU regulations on residues, plant protection products and labelling. Documentation for each consignment allows the importer to verify origin, lot and packing date at goods-in.

Flat peaches can be built into a joint stone fruit programme, with weekly adjustment of sizes and formats according to demand at destination.

The Hortiberia Group brings together the drive and experience of four market leaders from the sector in order to consolidate a project with a great future.
