Lollo biondo travels at 1-4 °C in a 60 x 40 cardboard box with each head bagged, the common build for Hortiberia's leaf lettuces. It is the green form of lollo, with tightly frilled, light-textured leaves, used by European retailers as a volume line on the leaf fixture and by processors in prepared mixes. The group's growers supply it in EU-certified organic and in conventional, from January to December.

Supplied in size 12, twelve heads per box. The 60 x 40 cardboard box holds each lettuce in an individual bag, and palletisation offers two box heights:
Sharing footprint and pallet build with escarole, oakleaf and lollo rosso means the buyer can assemble mixed pallets without compromising load stability.
Twelve months of the year. Cultivation moves between zones of the Region of Murcia and south-east Spain according to season, so the line holds its place on the weekly programme through the summer.
The organic line carries EU certification and separate labelling. Both ranges can be programmed with the same box and pallet, varying only labelling and lot documentation.
Lot and farm traceability on every consignment, growers working under standards such as GLOBALG.A.P. and IFS, and compliance with EU rules on plant protection products, maximum residue levels and labelling, which also apply in markets with EU agreements such as the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Norway.
Grupo Hortiberia, created in Cartagena in 2001 and present in more than 40 countries, agrees lollo biondo programmes with each customer in weekly volume and in the proportion between organic and conventional.
The Hortiberia Group brings together the drive and experience of four market leaders from the sector in order to consolidate a project with a great future.
