Loquats are one of the shortest spring lines in Hortiberia's catalogue, with a three-month season that calls for early planning on the buyer's side. The group, founded in 2001 and headquartered in Cartagena, markets the production of its four member companies in more than 40 countries, and handles loquats as a short-season fruit for specialist retail, wholesale markets and food service.

Loquats are supplied from April to June. Given the short window, weekly volumes are agreed in advance and reviewed as harvesting progresses, so that shelves stay stocked without product building up at the platform.
The size scale available is 6, 8, 10 and 12. The product sheet lists a reference weight of 800-1100 g. Two formats are offered, both on cardboard boxes:
Film wrapping protects the fruit from rubbing and moisture loss in transit, which matters for distant destinations or for chains with several handling steps before the store.
The recommended transport temperature is 1-2 °C, with the cold chain maintained from packing. The group's growers operate under GLOBALG.A.P. and IFS and the equivalent standards required by European retailers, with lot and farm traceability and compliance with EU rules on residue limits, plant protection products and labelling. Each pallet travels with documentation of origin and packing date, so that goods-in staff can match lot, grower and dispatch date against the order without additional enquiries.
Buyers who want loquats for the April to June season will find in Hortiberia a supplier that fixes sizes, format and dispatch dates before harvesting begins.
The Hortiberia Group brings together the drive and experience of four market leaders from the sector in order to consolidate a project with a great future.
