From October to February, persimmons are one of the fruit references with which Hortiberia serves European distribution through the autumn and winter months. The group's producers handle them in a single pack format, designed so the fruit reaches the shelf without pressure marks, and in a range of eight sizes that lets buyers tailor orders to each channel.

Persimmons are available in October, November, December, January and February. The calendar begins with the autumn and extends to the end of winter, so buyers can keep the fruit in their assortment throughout the cold season without interruption. Between March and September we do not supply this reference.
The size range runs from 14 to 28: 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26 and 28. Packaging is a single-layer 5 kg cardboard tray, at 88 boxes per Euro pallet and 110 per 100×120 pallet.
The single layer is the right choice for a fruit that sells on appearance and does not tolerate loose stacking without losses.
Persimmons travel at 6-8 °C. Like pomegranates and custard apples, they need a higher holding temperature than stone fruit or berries, and the refrigeration setting must take this into account when pallets of several references are loaded together. The group's producers work under standards such as GLOBALG.A.P. and IFS, with lot and plot traceability that follows every box back to its origin. Fruit is dispatched in compliance with EU regulations on maximum residue levels, labelling and plant protection products.
To include persimmons in a winter fruit programme, Hortiberia can agree the size distribution and weekly delivery rhythm with the buyer from the start of October.
The Hortiberia Group brings together the drive and experience of four market leaders from the sector in order to consolidate a project with a great future.
