Radicchio sits in Hortiberia's lettuce range as the bitter red leaf with white ribs that Central and Northern European buyers know well, whether for salad mixes that need contrast or for the catering trade. The group's producers grow it as a winter crop and supply it in both conventional and certified organic form.

Declared availability covers November, December, January, February, March, April and May, a seven-month window of continuous supply. An importer can therefore plan weekly deliveries through autumn, winter and spring from one origin, with volumes agreed in advance and reviewed as the campaign develops.
Radicchio is offered at counts 8, 10 and 12 per box, which gives room to match head size to channel: lower counts for food service, where a larger head is cut and portioned, and higher counts for retail self-service. Packing is in a 60x40 cardboard box with two pallet builds:
Transport temperature is 1-4 °C. As a closed head, radicchio tolerates handling better than loose leaf, but uninterrupted cold remains necessary to keep the outer leaves firm through to the shelf. The group's growers work under GLOBALG.A.P. and IFS and under the equivalent standards demanded by the distribution trade, with traceability by lot and field. The organic line is certified under EU organic regulation, and the whole range meets EU maximum residue levels and labelling requirements.
Buyers who want radicchio for the full season generally close the programme before the November start, setting count, production line and weekly volume with Hortiberia's team, and then confirm pallet build once the receiving platform has been agreed.
The Hortiberia Group brings together the drive and experience of four market leaders from the sector in order to consolidate a project with a great future.
