Round tomatoes are the summer reference in the Hortiberia tomato range. While the group's other tomatoes are concentrated in the October-to-May period, round tomatoes cover the warm months and let customers keep a supplier in south-eastern Spain through the season when the European market generally looks to other production areas. The group's growers produce them in south-eastern Spain as conventional and certified organic, on the same packing lines used for the winter range.

May, June, July, August, September and October. Six months of summer supply that link up with the start of the beef, plum, Kumato and cherry season in October, so a customer can run one reference into the next without a break in the commercial relationship.
Sizes MM, M, G and GG. Two formats, both in cardboard boxes:
In summer the tray becomes more attractive, since fruit ripens faster and a single layer reduces pressure between pieces in transit.
Transport temperature is 7-8 °C. In the hot months the critical point is loading and dock waiting time, where product can gain temperature before it enters the truck; collection times should be adjusted and the refrigeration set point checked. The group's growers work under GLOBALG.A.P. and IFS or the equivalent standards retail chains ask for, with traceability by lot and plot and compliance with EU rules on residues, plant protection products and labelling. Organic production carries EU certification.
Hortiberia plans round tomatoes as the natural continuation of each customer's winter tomato programme.
The Hortiberia Group brings together the drive and experience of four market leaders from the sector in order to consolidate a project with a great future.
